Atmospheric sciences is the study of the atmosphere in all its various forms. This includes weather and weather-related topics, such as winter storms, thunderstorms and severe weather, hurricanes, droughts, and weather forecasting, but also includes subjects such as climate and global change, atmospheric chemistry and air pollution, remote sensing of the atmosphere from satellites, and modeling the atmosphere with computers. With the ever-increasing importance of these topics in today's society, there has never been a more relevant time to be an atmospheric scientist.
