The agricultural economics degree at Texas A&M offers students four “options” or “emphasis areas.”  A student may select from the following options: (1) Finance and Real Estate, (2) Food Marketing Systems, (3) Policy and Economic Analysis, and (4) Rural Entrepreneurship.

The Finance and Real Estate Option prepares students for careers in banking/lending, real estate investment and development, as well as related careers in law and insurance.

The Food Marketing Systems Option prepares students for careers in management, marketing, sales and related careers.

The Policy and Economics Analysis Option was designed for students interested in public policy, government, and in pursuing graduate study and/or law school.

The Rural Entrepreneurship Option provides a well-grounded basis in principles and methods for students interested in owning and/or managing their own business.
